Ayse has been honing her skills as an artist for the past several years, but has only recently started showing her work professionally. In 2015, she submitted Galactica and her Connection series to British-based GAF Gallery (which has since closed down as of 2016).
Having emigrated to America from England, she has been able to immerse herself in Pittsburgh's vibrant culture and experiment with different mediums and ideas, developing a style that is intended to blend comic book-like elements with surreal and diverse designs.
In 2017, she was invited to display her work at SPACES, Pittsburgh, for four months as part of a separate business venture, which included works such as Hubris and a variety of sketches for audiences to look through.
Her evolution from geometrical abstracts to storytelling through surreal characters and colours, which has allowed her to introduce unique elements and extend her range even further. Her use of digital and traditional mediums gives Ayse the chance to challenge how far visual storytelling and emotive surrealism can blend together.
