The threats and seductions that exist in our personal spaces create a multifaceted layer within human interaction. I am interested in exploring the successes, tensions, and nuances of the idea of public space and domestic symbols, often tying together public and private space to continue a societal commentary.

Jamie Earnest is from Alabama and is a 2012 graduate of The Alabama School of Fine Arts. Earnest holds a BFA in Painting from Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Art. She is a recipient of the Ellen Battell Stoeckel Fellowship and through this fellowship she attended the Yale Norfolk Summer School of Art during summer 2015. Earnest has been in multiple group shows in Pittsburgh, New York, and in Alabama, including Great Waves II, a show at Revision Space gallery in Pittsburgh juried by Eric Shiner, Director of The Warhol, and Chad Alligood, Curator of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Earnest's work was featured in AQUA ART Miami through Revision Space gallery. Her work was recently featured at The Andy Warhol Museum. Earnest's debut solo show, "Your Home or Mine?" opened Summer 2016 at Cindy Lisica Gallery. Earnest has most recently had her solo, "Holes in Real Space" at The MINE Factory in Pittsburgh, PA and was included in a group exhibition, "The Apotheosis of Homer" at the Jinji Lake Art Museum in Suzhou, China. Earnest currently lives and works in Pittsburgh, PA.
