My paintings are created using my own photographs which I edit, enlarge, and transfer onto wood or canvas panels. Often times I am pulling together many photographs taken from different angles to create one still life. I choose to paint in acrylics because of their quick drying time and their functionality with a hard edge painting style. My subject matter comes from numerous sources. Old furniture, musical instruments, animal figurines, piles of paper and everyday clutter. My paintings offer me a creative outlet to record my surroundings, as well as a way for me to remember past experiences. Despite how personal my paintings are, I hope to share a love of color, form, and clean lines with my viewers.
