Ever since I was a young girl, I loved beautiful things. I remember seeing an embroidered pillow and I wanted to learn how to do needlework. Those first stitches became a pathway to learning other crafts that would enrich my surroundings and those of my friends.

I started to do floral arrangements when I was unable to find a wreath for my door that I really liked. One wreath became many as I began to make arrangements for others. During a discussion with a friend, the term “sticks” was used instead of stems.
When a very fashion forward friend told me that I was going to accompany her to a “beading class,” my initial reaction was that this should be interesting as I had somewhat of a negative notion of what “beading” was all about. I was very wrong. Beading is artwork with “stones.”
I have been fortunate to have been selected to participate in juried art shows that include the Mt. Lebanon Junior Women's League and The Sweetwater Center for the Arts Holiday mART. I currently have work at The Artsmiths of Pittsburgh.
